From the sun-drenched hills of southern Montalcino, where the Orcia River tempers Tuscany’s warmth, comes a rare and powerful expression of Syrah – the Fabivs 2023 by Ciacci Piccolomini d’Aragona. This bold red pays homage to Bishop Fabivs de Vecchis, who began the construction of Palazzo Piccolomini in 1672. Grown exclusively in the “del Conte” vineyard, the Syrah thrives in a microclimate of perfect ripening conditions.
Aged for 15 months in a mix of French and American oak barriques, the wine exudes intense aromas of ripe plum, black cherry, and blueberry, lifted by complex spice and subtle floral hints. The palate is deep, structured and velvety with rich tannins, generous warmth, and enduring length.
Fabivs 2023 is a wine of muscular elegance — a true conversation between Tuscan terroir and Rhône varietal power. It’s a superb match for wild game, slow-cooked meats, or an aged pecorino by the fire.
