Ameal Solo Único 2022 is an elegant and expressive single-vineyard Loureiro from the renowned Quinta do Ameal estate in Portugal’s Vinho Verde region. Crafted exclusively from grapes grown in the Marejão vineyard, this wine captures the purity and aromatic intensity that has made Loureiro one of the most exciting white varieties of northern Portugal.
 
Quinta do Ameal is widely recognised as one of the benchmark producers in the Lima Valley, an area celebrated for producing refined and mineral-driven Loureiro wines. The estate focuses on expressing the terroir through careful vineyard management and minimal intervention winemaking.
 
The 2022 vintage experienced a rainy winter and spring followed by a cool summer, allowing for a slow and balanced ripening of the grapes. This resulted in lower yields but exceptional fruit quality and aromatic precision.
 
Fermentation takes place at low temperatures to preserve freshness, followed by maturation on fine lees for eight months, with part of the wine aged in stainless steel tanks and part in concrete eggs, adding texture and complexity while maintaining purity of fruit.
 
The wine is beautifully aromatic, with bright citrus notes typical of the Loureiro variety, complemented by vibrant acidity and a long, refined finish.
