A Champagne of Depth, Elegance, and Royal Pedigree
Crafted with precision and passion, Bollinger Special Cuvée is the benchmark of non-vintage Champagne—a bold and refined expression of the House's heritage. Created from over 300 crus with more than 85% from Grand and Premier Cru vineyards, this exquisite blend is composed of 60% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay, and 15% Meunier. What sets it apart is the inclusion of reserve wines aged up to 15 years in magnums—infusing this cuvée with complexity, harmony, and remarkable depth.
Its name, chosen in 1911 by Bollinger’s British agent, reflects the international esteem this Champagne enjoys—favoured by royalty, secret agents (James Bond, no less), and connoisseurs alike. Vinified partially in old oak barrels, and produced with a moderate dosage of 8–9 g/L, it offers an impressive richness while preserving its freshness and finesse.
Expect golden hues and a refined mousse, with notes of roasted apple, ripe stone fruits, brioche, and walnut, leading into a long, balanced finish. A sophisticated aperitif or gastronomic partner to fine cuisine.
