A remarkable piece of modern English whisky history, The English Whisky Co. Founders Private Cellar Cask #0763 is an exceptionally rare single cask release from the pioneering The English Distillery. Distilled during the distillery's formative years, this whisky captures the experimental spirit that helped establish England's modern whisky renaissance.

Distilled in 2008 at St. George's Distillery, this single malt matured initially in a Jim Beam ex-bourbon barrel before receiving a distinctive finish in a Jamaican rum cask. Bottled on 19th September 2011 at its natural cask strength of 60.2% ABV, only 119 bottles were produced from Cask #0763, making it one of the rarest early bottlings from The English Whisky Co.

CASK23 is proud to offer Bottle No. 43 of 119, with just one bottle available.

Despite its youthful three years of maturation, the Norfolk climate and carefully selected casks have created a whisky bursting with personality. Classic bourbon cask notes of vanilla, honey and toasted oak intertwine beautifully with the tropical richness imparted by the Jamaican rum finish, adding layers of banana, pineapple, molasses and warming spice. Bottled with natural colour and without chill filtration, every drop reflects the whisky exactly as it emerged from the cask.

A fascinating collector's bottle and an increasingly difficult release to find, this whisky offers a glimpse into the earliest days of England's first modern whisky distillery and its pioneering approach to cask experimentation.
