Finca La Colonia Colección Grüner Veltliner 2018 from Bodega Norton is a vibrant and refreshing white wine that showcases the adaptability of the Austrian grape Grüner Veltliner in the high-altitude vineyards of Mendoza, Argentina.
 
Bodega Norton farms more than 680 hectares of vineyards, carefully mapped and divided into parcels so that each grape variety and clone is planted in soils best suited to its character. The Grüner Veltliner grapes for this wine come from 18-year-old vines in the La Colonia vineyard, planted on clay and gravel soils that help maintain freshness and structure.
 
Located at 900–1100 meters above sea level in the foothills of the Andes, the vineyards benefit from cooler temperatures and increased ultraviolet sunlight. These conditions promote excellent flavour concentration while preserving vibrant natural acidity.
 
The grapes were hand-harvested in early March and gently pressed before fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 15°C, preserving the fresh aromatics and varietal purity of Grüner Veltliner. Early bottling ensures the wine retains its lively fruit character and crisp structure.
 
The result is a bright, aromatic white wine with refreshing acidity and distinctive varietal expression.
