Graham’s Six Grapes Reserve Port is one of the most iconic wines from the historic house of Graham’s, representing over a century of winemaking tradition and expertise. Founded in 1820 in Portugal’s Douro Valley, Graham’s has built its reputation on exceptional Port wines crafted with precision, passion, and patience.
The name “Six Grapes” dates back to the nineteenth century when Graham’s winemakers marked their finest barrels with grape symbols to indicate quality. Barrels marked with six grapes represented wines with the potential to become vintage port, rich, structured, and complex. These exceptional wines were later blended and bottled under the Six Grapes label, creating what has become Graham’s signature Reserve Ruby Port.
Aged for around two years in seasoned oak casks, this Reserve Port preserves the vibrant fruit character of young wines while developing added depth and complexity. Crafted primarily from the Douro’s noble grape varieties, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca, the wine offers exceptional richness and balance.
In the glass it displays a deep ruby colour with enticing aromas of ripe plums, cherries, and blackberries layered with hints of cassis and liquorice. The palate is full-bodied and generous with concentrated dark fruit flavours supported by smooth tannins and a long lingering finish.
A luxurious yet approachable Port, perfect for enjoying at the end of a meal.
