Graham’s Six Grapes Special Vila Velha Edition is a limited bottling that elevates the classic Six Grapes Reserve style to a more terroir-driven expression. Produced exclusively from grapes grown at Quinta da Vila Velha, this special edition reflects the unique character of one of the Symington family’s most celebrated Douro estates.
 
Purchased in 1987 by the late James Symington, Quinta da Vila Velha sits on the south bank of the Douro River and spans around 145 hectares, with 55 hectares planted with vines. Over the decades the estate has been carefully restored and cultivated, producing structured wines that often contribute to Graham’s Vintage Ports.
 
This limited release is crafted predominantly from the Douro’s noble grape varieties Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca, with a small component of Alicante. The result is a Port with remarkable depth and aromatic complexity.
 
On the nose, it reveals a captivating mix of herbal and floral aromas reminiscent of pine resin, eucalyptus and wild Douro rock rose. Rich black fruit aromas follow, leading into an opulent palate layered with blackberry and blackcurrant flavours. Subtle notes of dark chocolate and mocha emerge on the finish, while vibrant acidity provides balance and elegance.
