Janneau XO Armagnac is the flagship expression of the renowned Janneau house, showcasing the depth and elegance that long-aged Armagnac can achieve. Crafted in Gascony, France, this luxurious spirit blends carefully selected eaux-de-vie from Bas-Armagnac and Armagnac-Ténarèze, two of the most respected crus within the Armagnac appellation.
Produced from Baco and Ugni Blanc grapes, the spirit is distilled using both single and double distillation methods before being matured in French oak barrels in Janneau’s historic cellars. The youngest eaux-de-vie in the blend has aged for at least 10 years, while the oldest components have matured for over 30 years, creating remarkable complexity and depth.
This extended maturation develops an elegant structure with rich fruit character and refined oak influence. The result is a beautifully balanced Armagnac offering aromas of candied plum, ripe red fruits, and polished oak, followed by a palate layered with quince, sour cherries, and almonds, finishing with warm spices and lingering oak notes.
Sophisticated, rich, and expressive, Janneau XO is a superb example of the craftsmanship and heritage that define the finest Armagnac.
