From the northern edge of the Côte de Beaune, where it meets the Côte de Nuits, Ladoix 2021 Grand Vin de Bourgogne is a refined expression of Pinot Noir grown at the foot of the celebrated Corton hillside. The vineyard parcels include venerable vines planted between 1926 and 1960, rooted in clay-limestone soils over dark marls, a terroir that delivers depth, structure, and aromatic finesse.
The grapes are carefully hand-harvested and partially destemmed before fermenting in vats for around 8 to 10 days, a method that preserves delicacy and precision. After pressing, the wine continues its evolution with 12–18 months of aging in oak barrels, followed by careful racking and a gentle filtration before bottling.
In the glass, it displays a deep ruby hue and expressive aromas of wild berries, blackberry, wild cherry, and subtle vanilla from barrel maturation. The palate is generous yet refined, combining meaty depth with silky tannins and harmonious structure. With time in the bottle, it develops further complexity, rewarding patience.
A classic Côte de Beaune Pinot Noir — elegant, structured, and quietly powerful.
