Crafted entirely at Lochlea Distillery, from barley grown on the estate to maturation and bottling on-site, this limited-edition release celebrates the harmonious marriage between Lochlea's elegant spirit and carefully selected wine casks.
 
For the 2026 edition, spirit initially matured in first-fill Bourbon barrels has been finished in hand-selected Sangiovese wine casks, adding a vibrant layer of red fruit richness and silky texture. The result is a beautifully expressive whisky brimming with notes of ripe red berries, baked apples, honey and warming spice.
 
The palate is wonderfully creamy and sweet, revealing generous flavours of red berries, toasted nuts and gentle oak, while the finish lingers with soft spice and elegant oak influence. This deeper, richer interpretation continues Lochlea's exploration of wine cask maturation and further enhances the distillery's distinctive house style.
 
Bottled at 46% ABV, with natural colour and non-chill filtration, this limited release offers a vibrant and sophisticated whisky experience.
