Rich, warming, and elegantly complex, the Malamado Fortified Malbec NV from Mendoza brings Argentina’s signature grape into the world of fortified wines—delivering a luxurious alternative to classic Tawny Port.
Deep purple in colour, this wine entices the nose with aromas of over-ripened plums, dried figs, toasted almonds, and a dusting of cinnamon spice. The palate is velvety and lusciously sweet, yet balanced with gentle acidity and layered complexity. Notes of raisins, nutmeg, and soft oak lead to a lingering, nutty finish.
Crafted from 100% Malbec grapes grown in the alluvial soils of the Uco Valley, the wine is traditionally vinified to retain natural sweetness, then fortified and aged for over two years in seasoned French oak barrels.
Perfect as a digestif, paired with hard cheeses, chocolate desserts, or simply savoured slowly by the fire.
Food Pairing:
Ideal with blue cheese, walnut tarts, chocolate fondants, or as a decadent after-dinner pour on its own.
