Pusser’s Rum Blue Label is the authentic rum of the British Royal Navy, blended to the exact Admiralty specifications used until the Navy’s daily rum ration ended on 31 July 1970, a tradition that had lasted for more than 300 years.
This iconic navy rum is crafted from rums distilled in Guyana’s legendary Demerara River Valley, an area historically known as the “Valley of Navy Rum.” The blend is heavily influenced by rum produced in the famous Port Mourant Double Wooden Pot. Still, it was first commissioned in 1732, which contributes exceptional depth and character.
After distillation, the rum is matured in charred oak bourbon barrels, allowing it to develop a smooth yet powerful profile. The tropical climate of Guyana accelerates the ageing process, producing rich flavour and remarkable complexity.
The result is a full-bodied, classic navy rum with deep notes of Demerara sugar, molasses, dried fruit, and island spices, balanced by warm caramel and a long, satisfying finish. Pusser’s Rum Blue Label is crafted using natural ingredients only, without artificial colouring or flavouring.
Rich in history and unmistakably bold in flavour, this is the original Navy rum that helped define maritime tradition.
