Ridge Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 (Magnum 1.5L) is a refined and powerful Cabernet-based blend from the prestigious Monte Bello estate in the Santa Cruz Mountains, California. Crafted by the renowned Ridge Vineyards, this wine reflects the estate’s philosophy of minimal intervention and its commitment to expressing the true character of the vineyard.
The Monte Bello vineyard has a rich history dating back to 1886, when the first vines were planted on the site. Ridge began producing wines from this historic property in the early 1960s, and today the estate is recognised as one of California’s most respected producers of structured, age-worthy Cabernet blends.
The 2019 vintage is composed primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Merlot and Petit Verdot, creating a beautifully balanced wine with both power and elegance. The grapes are hand harvested and fermented using native yeasts, preserving the natural complexity of the fruit and vineyard.
Fermentation takes place with whole berries, followed by natural malolactic fermentation. The wine is then aged for sixteen months in air-dried American oak barrels, allowing the structure and aromatics to develop while maintaining the purity of fruit.
Presented in magnum format (1.5L), this wine offers exceptional ageing potential and is ideal for collectors and special occasions.
