Ridge Geyserville 2020 is one of California’s most celebrated Zinfandel-based wines, produced by the iconic Ridge Vineyards from the historic Geyserville vineyards in Alexander Valley, Sonoma County. This vintage marks the 55th consecutive release of this legendary wine, showcasing the remarkable consistency and heritage of this site.

The grapes are sourced from three adjoining vineyards situated on ancient riverbed soil composed of river stones and gravel deposited by the Russian River. These unique soils provide excellent drainage and contribute to the wine’s concentration, structure, and mineral character.

The 2020 blend is dominated by Zinfandel, supported by Carignane, Petite Sirah, Alicante Bouschet, and Mataro, creating a complex and balanced wine with both power and elegance.

Fermentation takes place with native yeasts, reflecting Ridge’s philosophy of minimal intervention.

The wine undergoes natural primary and malolactic fermentation before being aged for thirteen months in air-dried American oak barrels, adding subtle spice and structure while allowing the fruit to shine.

The result is a classic Sonoma red that perfectly balances vibrant fruit, freshness, and depth, capable of ageing beautifully for many years.
