Royal Tokaji Vineyard Selection Furmint 2021 is an elegant and structured dry white wine crafted from carefully selected grapes grown in the historic classed growth vineyards of Mád, at the heart of Hungary’s legendary Tokaj region.
 
The Furmint grape, celebrated for its vibrant acidity and remarkable ability to reflect terroir, delivers a wine of precision and complexity in this vineyard selection. The 2021 vintage benefited from a warm summer followed by cooler conditions towards harvest, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly while retaining freshness and developing layered flavours.
 
Fermented using whole bunch pressing and matured for nine months in traditional Zemplén oak barrels, with around 20% new oak, the wine gains subtle structure and complexity without overpowering its natural character.
 
On the nose, delicate floral aromas intertwine with notes of green apple and gooseberry, while the palate reveals a concentrated and medium-bodied style with distinctive minerality, gentle spice and crisp acidity. The finish is long, fresh and beautifully balanced, showcasing the refined expression of dry Tokaji wines.
