Saison Trinidad 7 Year Old Triple Cask Rum is a rum from Trinidad that has been matured in two countries. It was distilled and initially aged in Trinidad, then shipped to France for further maturation and finishing by Distillerie Tessendier & Fils. It is 7 years old and bottled at 48% ABV.
 
The “triple cask” in the name refers to three stages in different oaks. It began in American oak, then moved into medium-grain French oak, and then fine-grain French oak. Grain size describes the tightness of the oak’s growth rings. It is generally understood to affect how quickly a cask gives up flavour.
