Springbank 12 Year Old Cask Strength 2026 is the current edition of the distillery's annual 12 year old cask strength releases. It's bottled at 56.6% ABV, with a stated maturation of 100% bourbon.
 
Springbank has been producing whisky since 1828, and its single malts are made entirely in-house, using skills the distillery describes as passed down from one generation to the next. The malt is lightly peated in the distillery's own kiln and the spirit is distilled 2.5 times, which sets its production apart from most Scotch distilleries.
 
The nose is earthy and mineral, with salt, dried banana, granola and lemon zest, and a note of smoke running underneath. The palate turns to citrus: grapefruit syrup, orange pith and pomelo, with a softer sweetness of white marshmallow. The finish brings cocoa powder, glazed cherries and salted pretzels, with a hint of smoke remaining.
