Springbank 18 Year Old is bottled at 46% ABV, and this is the 2026 edition. The distillery describes it as full-bodied, with a nose that draws you in before the palate and finish develop.

The cask make-up is given as 50% Bourbon, 45% Sherry and 5% Rum. That is a near-even split between Bourbon and Sherry, with a small amount of Rum, which is a different balance from the Port-led 2026 21 Year Old. The notes below show a profile that moves from sweet and fruity to richer and darker, though the distillery doesn’t say how much each cask type contributes.

The nose is vibrant, with marzipan, white chocolate raspberries, marmalade and heather honey, and a leather note in the background. The palate is rich, with treacle, brambles and blackcurrants, balanced by hints of nutmeg and dark chocolate. The finish takes a savoury turn: an ashy note appears, along with gooseberries, salted pretzels and cayenne pepper.
