Sula Vineyards Chenin Blanc 2025 is a vibrant and aromatic white wine from Nashik in Maharashtra, widely regarded as the heart of India’s modern wine industry. Produced by Sula Vineyards, India’s most recognised premium wine producer, this wine showcases the exciting potential of Indian terroir.
Founded in 1997 by Rajeev Samant and winemaker Kerry Damsky, Sula pioneered the cultivation of international grape varieties in India. Their early releases of Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc quickly gained acclaim and helped establish Nashik as India’s leading wine region.
The vineyards lie in the Western Ghats foothills at around 600 metres above sea level, where warm sunny days are balanced by cooler nights. This climate allows grapes to ripen fully while maintaining refreshing acidity. The red iron-rich soils mixed with gravel and clay provide good drainage and contribute to the wine’s mineral character.
This Chenin Blanc is fragrant and expressive, offering floral aromas of quince and bruised apple alongside tropical fruit notes. A gentle hint of sweetness is beautifully balanced by lively acidity, giving the wine freshness and charm.
