Sula Dindori Reserve Shiraz 2023 is a bold and expressive red wine from Nashik in Maharashtra, the heart of India’s modern wine industry. Produced by Sula Vineyards, India’s most recognised premium winery, this wine highlights the impressive potential of Shiraz grown in the unique terroir of the Dindori sub-region.
Founded in 1997 by Rajeev Samant and Kerry Damsky, Sula Vineyards pioneered the cultivation of international grape varieties in India. Their dedication to quality viticulture and sustainable practices has helped place Indian wines on the global stage.
The grapes for this wine are grown in Dindori, one of Nashik’s most favourable areas for red wine production. The region’s red laterite and basalt soils, combined with well-drained hillside vineyards and cooling climatic influences, allow Shiraz to develop rich fruit concentration while maintaining balance and freshness.
The wine is matured for 12 months in American oak barrels, adding layers of spice and complexity to the naturally rich fruit character. The result is a deeply coloured, full-bodied Shiraz with dark berry fruit, sweet spice, and subtle chocolate notes, finishing long and smooth.
