This single cask release comes from Tomatin, distilled on 25 March 2011 and drawn from Cask No. 37316 — a first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry butt that accounted for thirteen years of the whisky's maturation. Bottled exclusively for the United Kingdom, it's a 15 year old whisky limited to 608 bottles, bottled at cask strength with no chill filtration or added colour.

Tomatin's house style is a soft, fruit-led spirit, and that character comes through clearly here, built up over the long stay in first-fill PX wood into something richer and more layered. The sherry influence brings dark chocolate, sultanas and dessert-like sweetness, while the underlying spirit keeps the profile balanced rather than letting the sherry dominate outright.

On the nose, expect candied orange peel, berry compote, honey and vanilla sugar. The palate turns richer still, with dark chocolate, sultanas and tarte tatin, before a long, lingering finish built on baking spices.
