The Villa Maria Single Vineyard Seaspray Sauvignon Blanc 2022 is a striking coastal expression of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, produced from the Seaspray Vineyard in the Awatere Valley, one of the coolest and most distinctive sub-regions of Marlborough, New Zealand.
 
Located close to the rugged eastern coastline, the vineyard benefits from constant ocean breezes and maritime influence, which slow the ripening process and allow the grapes to develop remarkable concentration while maintaining vibrant natural acidity. This coastal environment is responsible for the wine’s signature saline minerality and distinctive seashell character.
 
Fermented entirely in stainless steel at cool temperatures, the wine preserves the purity of Sauvignon Blanc fruit, while selected yeasts enhance aromatic complexity and texture. A short period resting on the lees adds subtle richness and structure to the palate.
