Created to mark ten years since the founding of White Peak Distillery in 2016, Wire Works Caduro X Limited Edition is a celebratory English single malt that brings together the people, place and whisky-making ideas that have shaped Wire Works over its first decade.
 
Limited to just 1,000 bottles and bottled at 46.8% ABV, Caduro X develops the concept behind the original Caduro while looking back to the distillery's earliest releases. At its heart is a carefully composed vatting of STR ex-red wine casks and first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, bringing together fruit, sweetness, oak spice and Wire Works' characteristic thread of gentle smoke.
 
The whisky is lightly peated, allowing the smoke to work as part of the flavour rather than dominate it. The STR casks contribute rich red fruit, spice and toasted oak, while first-fill bourbon barrels bring vanilla, honeyed sweetness and brighter orchard fruit. Together, they create a layered, modern English single malt that reflects a decade of experimentation with fermentation, distillation, maturation and blending.
 
Caduro X also celebrates its birthplace: The Wireworks, a Derbyshire site with around 150 years of industrial making behind it. White Peak has carried that spirit of craftsmanship forward since establishing the distillery there in 2016, with its first Wire Works whisky following in 2022.
 
For collectors, followers of English whisky and anyone who has enjoyed watching Wire Works develop, Caduro X represents more than another limited release. It is a snapshot of the distillery at its 10-year milestone—rooted in its past, but created to show where its whisky has arrived today.
